The IWT Off-Road Writing Workshop

Maybeck High School and Bard College Institute for Writing and Thinking (IWT) are pleased to introduce the IWT Off-Road Writing Workshop at Maybeck High School. Modeled on Bard College’s Language & Thinking Program, established in 1982, this weeklong writing workshop cultivates fluency of expression in writing and speaking that is so necessary for college or university. The workshop will be held online and hosted by Maybeck High School in Berkeley, California, an institution known for its progressive and diverse curriculum.

DATES: Aug. 1-5, 2022. Monday-Friday. Pacific Standard Time: 9am - 2pm with asynchronous work, lunch, and Zoom breaks.

WHO CAN APPLY: High school students who have completed 9th, 10th, or 11th grades. Open to students nationwide!

DEADLINES: Students can submit applications via this form until July 25, 2022.

RATES: $675 for the week; $607.50 Early Bird rate (early bird deadline July 2). Partial financial aid is available.

You must register by July 2nd to qualify for the early-bird rate. Payment by check is preferred. Mail checks to Bard College IWT, attn Business Manager, 30 Campus Rd, Annandale-on-Hudson, NY 12504. A $15 processing fee will apply to payments made by credit card.
