GetEngaged 2019: Student Action and Youth Leadership: Civic Engagement, Social Entrepreneurship and the Liberal Arts

*APPLICATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, NOVEMBER 30TH, 2018*

Student leaders from the Bard International Network who are actively engaged in community based work are eligible to apply for a five-day conference at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary from March 15 to 22, 2019. Students leaders working on community or socially-based projects and/or organizing, engaged in activism, journalism or government work or who are leading community-based Model UN and debate or whose campus leadership extends beyond the boundaries of campus are are invited to submit proposals.

The conference is not a traditional academic conference. It is an action-oriented, skill-based workshop series that includes student presentations and community networking. It is a venue to build a network of young social entrepreneurs and change agents to encourage future collaborations and exchange of ideas. Participants will explore best practices, generate ideas, participate in leadership trainings, and network with other student leaders.
